JD.com Q4 Earnings Disappoint as Revenue Misses Estimates and Net Loss Widens
JD.com reported lackluster fourth-quarter results, with revenue growth of just 1.5% year-over-year to RMB352.28 billion ($51.12 billion), falling short of analyst expectations. The Chinese e-commerce giant's earnings per share of RMB0.57 also missed consensus estimates, while its adjusted EBITDA swung dramatically into negative territory.
The company's financial deterioration was underscored by a RMB2.7 billion net loss, a stark reversal from the RMB9.9 billion profit recorded in the same quarter last year. Despite the disappointing performance, JD.com approved a substantial $1.4 billion dividend payout to shareholders.
